Trekking with Twins

My best friends quit their jobs, sold their house (along with ALL of their possessions) and took their 3 YEAR OLD TWINS on a trip around the world for 1-2 YEARS!!!!  They left Boston in November, 2014, traveled to San Francisco, and all the way to the Philippines.  They spent about 2 months there (and survived a massive typhoon by taking shelter in Cebu City).  They are currently in Thailand.

They are sending us pictures of school children along the way so we can see how children live and go to school in other countries on other continents!  Your children have been very excited to see where they are going next and what pictures there are to come!  We have already seen a bus in the Philippines that had 20 students INSIDE, 10 students SITTING ON TOP, and 4 MORE STANDING ON THE BACK HANGING ON!  Needless to say there were no helmets or seat belts.  Yikes!

Chinese New Year!

Kelly brought in a fabulous lantern to kick us off in the Chinese New Year spirit (February 19th)!  We will be having a celebration on Wednesday, February 25th at 1:45 if you would like to come join and help out with crafts and activities.

Reading Board with Text Features

Please talk to your children about text features and non-fiction books... they have been learning quite a bit and should add non-fiction into their reading diet regularly.
